Homework at Our School

Homework plays an important role in helping students develop independence, strengthen key skills, and prepare for future learning. Each week, students are expected to complete the following:

• Daily Reading – 20 minutes each day to build fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
• Times Tables Practice – to secure rapid recall of number facts, which supports all areas of maths.
• Weekly homework tasks – 1 English task and 1 maths task.
• Subject homework – each subject will set 1 piece of homework per half term to extend and deepen classroom learning.

For KS4 students, additional coursework and homework will be set regularly to prepare them for GCSE and vocational qualifications.

All homework should be completed to the best of each student’s ability and returned by the given deadline. This allows teachers to monitor progress and support students effectively.
